François Le Scornet is a leading expert in greenhouse gas emissions accounting and low-carbon energy strategy, with over 20 years of experience advising on climate technologies, sustainability policies, and market intelligence. A certified practitioner of the ADEME Bilan Carbone® methodology, François’s work focuses on helping organizations measure, manage, and mitigate their carbon footprints through data-driven, science-based approaches.
At the helm of Carbonexit Consulting, François supports public and private clients, including investors, consultants, and policymakers, in navigating the fast-changing climate tech landscape. His expertise covers emerging climate tech innovation, carbon markets, hydrogen, nuclear and renewable energy, and regulatory frameworks with a particular focus on detecting promising innovations that support decarbonization strategies. An external expert for the European Commission, François also evaluates clean tech innovation programs and contributes to shaping Europe’s climate investment agenda. His analytical insights and strategic recommendations have been featured in leading climate and energy media outlets, reinforcing his role as a trusted voice in sustainability discourse.
François holds a Master’s in Chemistry from ECPM and a Specialized Master’s in International Business from HEC Paris. Based between Canada and France, he is passionate about accelerating global sustainability through rigorous GHG accountability, forward-thinking policy, and clean technology deployment.
